Courchevel, France: Top of the World

Courchevel is one of the most famous ski resorts located in the French Alps. The elevation of Courchevel’s resort centre is 5,732 feet. Courchevel is a member of Les Trois Vallées, which represents the largest joined ski region in the world. Courchevel also collectively references several other towns, including Courchevel 1300, or Le Praz, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650, or Moriond and Courchevel 1850.

Courchevel was originally devised and organized during the Second World War, when the French government collaborated with the Axis powers – Germany, Italy and Japan. A 1942 study developed between the French government and Courchevel’s town planner Laurent Chappis brought the town into being after the war ended.   Essay papers about Courchevel would reveal that its most famous feature is the highest resort, the village of Courchevel 1850. Courchevel 1850 hosts an affluent list of celebrities and royalty Prince William, Kate Middleton, George Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, the Saudi royals, Christina Aquilera, Georgio Armani, Geri Halliwel, the King of Maroc, Lionel Richie and Robbie Williams. To write your essay about Courchevel 1850 should reveal there are 11 five star hotels in Courchevel 1850. The French government created an exclusive 6th star ranking for luxury hotels, known as palaces. The palace rating only goes to the most high-status, exclusive and opulent hotels that exist in France. Of the eight hotels that have received the 6th star rank, two of them are located in Courchevel 1850.
